• New release of Gentoo distribution.
• Various governments are warming
  to the use of Open Source, with authorized test programs underway.
• Mozilla is now released as 1.0
• Some discussion occurred regarding
  Open Source security issues and recent M$ FUD.

General Monthly Meeting:
Procmail, Pro's & Con's.

Most MTA's (mail transfer agents) use Procmail by default.
Mail Processor: Mail Delivery Agent,

Procmail Recipes.
Script application executes recipes
which determine how any specific message is treated.

PMDIR .procmailrc
:0: starts each procmail recipe.

2nd line sets conditions, and begins /w an asterisk followed by a space,
then other characters. Multiple conditionals possible on sequential lines.

Allows the use of defined variables for ease of use in
referencing & manipulating scripts & recipes.

Mentioned Mailstat script to analyze mail metrics.
