[newbie] Help what computer stores stock linux OS and manuals?

Thanks for responding to my posting.  I went to the Half price computer 
store here in Victoria and picked up Mandrake 10.0 and Open office

Thanks to each of yu who gave me some suggestions.  I will attempt the 
install this weekend and I plan to attend the VLUG meeting on the 14th.
