Hello all,
I just wanted to make people aware of the new telephony mailing list
which has been setup on the VLUG server. There have been meetings of the
VLUG Telephony SIG for several months now and hopefully there is enough
continued interest to justify a mailing list.
The VLUG telephony mailing list focuses on telephony under Linux.
Telephony may include: (but is not limited to)
- voice over internet (VoIP)
- Asterisk linux-based phone switch (PBX)
- VoIP-related hardware
- Quality of Service for voice traffic in routers (QoS)
- software and hardware clients for VoIP
- Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs)
- ham radio integration with internet
- wireless (802.11X) as it pertains to VoIP
The telephony mailing list is not concerned with cable/adsl/dialup
internet service provision (ISPs) except as those pertain to VoIP.
To sign up, go to:
http://vlug.org/mailman/listinfo/telephony
There is also mention of the telephony list on the mailing list page:

Thanks to Mike P and Carl C for their help in setting up this list :-)
Cheers,
Alex
