Thanks to everyone who participated in the VLUG first ever=20
Newbie SIG RoadTrip today, and to our host in Duncan, Fern
Holmes.

The event was a complete success with 16 folks participating
from as far afield as Victoria to Nanaimo. The Clubs represented
include VLUG (Victoria), CowLUG (Cowichan), and NanLUG (Nanaimo).

Along with several installs done, tweaks included solving Palm=20
Pilot syncronization and digital camera recognition issues in=20
KDE, and firewall initialization and configs on a variety of=20
boxes. Ad hoc tutorials ranged from RPM queries, DLs and installs=20
to VIM tips and more.

We were invited to consider a similar trip to Nanaimo a couple
months hence. Pictures from the event will be posted in a couple=20
days on the Newbie SIG page with links from the Install fest=20
page as well.

The O'Reilly book, Learning Red Hat Linux was won by Bradley=20
Crockett in a free raffle.

Thanks again to everybody who participated, it was a fun event for all.
