[newbie] Next Newbie Meet

Hi Everyone
I read this list all the time.  I have to admit that although I am competent
in Windows I am not comfortable with Microsoft and would really like to
start using Linux but I don't know enough about it to create an intelligent
question. Nothing, zilch, nada. 
A question that I would like answered is "What are the basic system
requirements to run Linux?  Is there a top end to the  system power that
Linux can utilize?
I know that this is Linux 101 but I really need to start from here.
I would like to see the list keep going and even plan to attend meeting that
aren't in conflict with my duties at BBC and WEAV.  I sure hope it continues
here.
