[newbie] direct serial connection/PPP

Hello lurkers,

I have a laptop running RHL 7.2 and I have a working direct serial port 
connection to my PB 270c, but what I have been unable to get working 
properly so far is direct serial port PPP connection. I have been through 
many how-to's and other documentation but still I can not get it working.
