Thanks for the information. I installed all of the prerequisites and followed all the other instructions. However, when I type "tkalbum", I get a whole bunch of installation errors of the form:
The program "<program name>" seems to be installed but the version number is not accessible. Perhaps it is a different progra with the same name.
The call "<program name --version" produced the following output:
This is <program name> v<version number> on linux
This is followed by all the details, like author, etc.
<program name> in the above is a substitute for the following which give this message:
album
convert (ImageMagick)
mogrify (ImageMagick)
If I continue with the installation anyway, I most of the items on the tool bar are greyed out, and I cannot modify any of the EXIF data fields.
>From the description of the program, it is really designed specifically for creating HTML Albums. If I could get the EXIF editing capability to actually work, I guess it might be useful. However, as it is at this stage, it is not hepful at all. I have no problem VIEWING EXIF information, it is changing that is a problem for me.
