Schedule permitting, maybe I can give a brief talk about
avidemux, a multimedia encoder/decoder with basic editing
functions.  It seems to work well under Xubuntu 9.04, although I
did have some trouble with the same program [possibly an older
version] under the Asus EEE's Xandros Linux -- package installed
from Debian Etch repositories.

Otherwise, the EEE has been pretty compatible with Etch.
