I would like to expand on a couple of points from Brent's last post to the
list. First of all this AGM next week is vital to our survival as a club
and we hope as many members/prospective new members and anyone else
interested in Linux/OpenSource will attend.

Brent mentioned the very few paid-up members we currently have. The crux
of this matter is that we do not currently have enough paid up members to
cover our (very limited) yearly expenses (server, bandwidth, domain
registration). We are currently dipping into limited reserves which will
not last forever. I would urge everyone on this list to please consider
helping out the club by joining, particularly if you are active on the
list and attend the VLUG meetings. Our fees are only $20, or 4 lattes!
Your consideration would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly concerning the VLUG brochures: we now have these printed and I
will bring them to the AGM. Hopefully some of you may be able to help
distribute some of these brochures (your local computer retailer, local
library, etc...).

Thirdy, if there is time after the AGM I can give a short presentation
entitled "Troubleshooting Wireless Problems With Linux".

See you there hopefully,
