Thus spake ALAN X (thegreatalsky at shaw.ca):

> Hi guys that was one thing that I notes-ed when I went to Sooke last June to listen to Philharmonic Orchestra as I do from time to time, being a musition my self, I did not like the `style' or `interpretation' when I was watching `Carolyn Tsao' age 15 perform at the Sooke Philharmonic ,she was great, and especial performing without a scor in front of her,she was magnificent, but that one thing I could not get away with was the `style' or the `interpretation'..

Sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying here.

I also heard the performance - well the Saturday repeat - and you can
read my review of it at

The real problem with MIDI, according to professional musicians I have
spoken to, is that it is too limiting and doesn't offer sufficiently
fine-grained control.

Reminds me of Artur Schnabel, refusing to make piano rolls. When the
company said "But Herr Schnabel, our system has sixteen different
degrees of soft pedal" he replied: "What a pity! I have seventeen.."
