[Discuss] cygwin + wget = thrashing floppy drive (??)

Hello,

There is something odd going on with cygwin
on a desktop machine I am using.

I am running wget to collect web links.
As the script runs there is a periodic
thrashing of the floppy drive on the
machine.

Does anyone have any idea what the heck
the relationship between collecting web links
into a file on the hard drive and the floppy
thrashing could be?

Anyone see this before?
