Hi John,

This is impressive work and will be much appreciated!

I'm glad that you recommend the same distribution to all people new to
Linux. Ubuntu is a good choice, but whichever one you choose is less
important than that it is a single choice.

Or I tend to focus on the desktop and present it as basically two OS's
Gnome and KDE. In helping people get started with Linux, my experience
has been that exposing someone to multiple distributions distracts
them, and they are less likely to be successful in converting.
