[Discuss] Installing Flash in Kubuntu (or Ubuntu) AMD64 version

I had to reinstall my Persistent mode Kubuntu on my laptop, and was having trouble getting Adobe Flash (or equivalent) working with Firefox.  I couldn't remember exactly what I had loaded before, but nothing I tried worked this time around.

In the meantime, for some reason Flash was no longer working on my wife's computer (also AMD64 architecture).  I found a script that really does work at:

It removed a lot of things that I had added during the installation. However, I am very pleased as it Flash is working now on both computers (and my wife is especially happy as she can now access her Jacquie Lawson greeting cards again).

I just wanted to share this, in the hopes that it would save others some effort.
