Sounds should work out of the box. If not, it sounds like a hardware
problem. Make sure you turn the volume up (use the Fn keys to
mute/up/down volume--you will see an icon appear on the screen).

I second that. that is where the "experts" meet and answer
questions. very user friendly at all levels.
