Hi Vluggers,
I'm jealous of how seamless the webcam experience is on my wife's
macbook, so I want to use a web cam for video chat on skype with my PC
- Dell E520 running Ubuntu 8.04 (beta -- already a great release!),
and am wondering if anyone has any experience with any of them? I was
looking at the ones at future shop, but it is quite an assortment, but
other than price I can't really figure out what makes one better than
the next:
Logitech QuickCam Chat With Headset $16.99
Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX Webcam $33.99
Logitech Quickcam Messenger Webcam $50.99
Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 $67.99
Anyone using any of those with Linux? Prefer one over another?
I found

which seems very useful, but I'd also love some 1st hand exp from a
fellow VLugger.

is interesting as well.

Cryptic fun as usual -- if only they included the chip set on the box.
What other ways are you using your web cam on Linux?

Thanks,
