No really benefit.  Your speed cap is on the other end of the pipe.   
A typical 10/100 NIC will be more than adequate for your internet  
connectivity.

The best bang for your buck would be to install the gigabit NIC on  
your server and have it plugged into a gigabit port on your switch.   
That way you can get the faster transfer rates between your desktop  
with gigabit and your server.

Are there any other computers/devices on your LAN?  Are you simply  
transferring large data files (movies, etc) across the LAN or is  
there something more interesting happening?
