I do use one HDMI port now for my upconverting Toshiba DVD player which
only cost around $40-$50 at XS Cargo (down near Mayfair). I purchased
the HDMI 6' cable from NCIX for about $30 including taxes and shipping
and so forth. The player upconverts to 1080i and is surprisingly more of
an improvement over my old standard player than I had expected.
Regarding the other fellow's comment, I also understand the same that
HDMI == DVI + Audio, but it sure as hell is convenient because the
cables are very small, with nicely fitting jacks.
