My understanding was that you need to hook shaw's box up to your card
(instead of your TV).  You can then record whatever the shaw's box is
sending you in HD.

However the problem is your card can't change the channel - you have
to change in on Shaw's box.  So you either do it manually, or
configure your computer to simulate the remote by sending the change
channel IR signals.
