You're not uncomfortable with the grandson of Tommy Douglas promulgating

Finally saw an episode of this while in England a couple of months ago.
Rarely have I seen such a blatant example of an English actor taking the
piss. Hugh Laurie actually *can* act, but he wasn't in this. "He's just
having a laugh" I though to myself - all the way to the bank.
Never again.
Also saw my first - and last - episode of CSI (NY) while in England. Oh
dear, oh dear.
The best things I've seen on tv over here recently were both British -
and both on Showcase: The State Within and Life on Mars.
The new Dr. Who (CBC) series is also very good - and I only have a
couple of months to wait the see the second parter of the two-parter of
which I saw the first part in England a couple of weeks ago. Had Derek
Jacobi in it, who not only can act, he was acting.
