	Synergy works great in this type of environment :

	- laptop and desktop on same local network
	- set up both machines with synergy
	- set one of the machines as the main and the other remote

	Now you can use the mouse and keyboard to control the mouse and 
keyboard on the other machine. When you move your mouse to the edge of 
the "main" display, it beings moving on the "remote" display as if they 
were dual displays hooked up to one computer. This does require that you 
have the machines very close together in order to reduce the twisting of 
your head and neck.

	I have have numerous headless computers and as such, Synergy is *not* 
the solution. Only a KVM works in that setup.
