I think that's about all Linux can do with NTFS filesystems [but
someone please correct me if I'm wrong]. You can do pretty much
whatever you want with FAT32 though, even fix it with fsck when
something goes wrong.

Sorry, I haven't messed around with Vista or dual booting at all,
