Boot with an older Win/Dos boot diskette... type in the following:

A:\fdisk /mbr

This will rewrite the MBR and allow you to boot back to Windows without
the use of the floppy booter you created. You can then either format the
drive where Kubuntu is living or just leave it for a later install.
