Hello Yves, Michael Leamy here.

    I just upgraded to Mandriva 2007.1 myself from 2006, and
unfortunately the things you are faced with seem to be common examples
of the myriad bugs this distro has. In fact, this distro is so shoddy it
has prompted me to finally take the plunge and switch to Kubuntu.
Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, you might want to
consider the same thing.
