There were all sorts of articles about Linux as THE "point of sale" solution
several years ago. I haven't been paying much attention to Linux POS
articles recently, but just now I did a google search for linux "point of
sale" and there were lots of hits including distros devoted completely to
the POS problem. It appears the early promise for Linux POS has now born
fruit. When you do evaluate the various distros for your particular POS
needs, I would be most interested in your conclusions.
