[Discuss] Firefox with RedHat Fedora

After all my boot problems since trying to update Mandriva to Mandriva 
2007, (Kubuntu failed to provide a boot loader that works), I managed to 
install RedHat on some free space and have been gradually trying to get 
it to work. 

So far, at least I have Thunderbird working.  However, I am having a 
problem with Firefox.  Whenever I try to launch it, it says that it is 
already running.  If I do ps -e, there is no firefox or anything like it 
running.  I cannot find any .lock files anywhere.  I removed firefox and 
all related files and tried to reinstall it, but I still get this same 
thing. 

I find the "How to install" firefox to be VERY confusing!!

Any ideas of what is going on?
