Download the .iso version, burn it to a CD, then boot the system you are working with the CD in place (and BIOS set to boot from CD -- normal configuration). There are all kinds of utilities. I think the menus are fairly self explanatory. You are probably looking for the Disk Utilities, but there is quite a bit of neat stuff on it. It has gotten me out of several binds in the past (most often on other people's computers that I have been asked to try to fix).
