Hello,

The script blocker Firefox plugin you're thinking of is called NoScript and
is found here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

Scripts and flash content has to be enabled on a case per case basis.
I've been using it for a while now and it works well, although at times it
is hard to identify just what is needed to be allowed when stupid sites have
so many cross-site references...
At those times, you can use the "temporarily allow www.somesite.com"
setting.

Hope this helps.
Gary
