Unfortunately the GIMP (while a top notch piece of software) doesn't
support RAW camera images (since they're a closed format) which is what
keeps me from using it. My father does some graphic design and the
reason he doesn't use the gimp is it lacks support for CMYK which is
something he needs for print work.
My previous rant wasn't against any free software, I think free software
is great, I use it every day! I just wish more commercial apps would
port to Linux so end users who require them would have a choice.
