Well; you could cobble together bits of FC7 and FC3. It'll be a little 
ugly, but if you do it right it should work fine.

Basically, just take kernel, modutils, udev, maybe hotplug? from FC7, 
put that into FC3. Then you get the kernel support you need without 
changing userland significantly.
