I just left Saskatoon, a year and a half ago.

My former condo in Saskatoon, in the last 8 months, is now almost the
same value as the condo I bought near the mayfair mall.  The housing
pricing in Saskatoon are insane, most prices have doubled.  Bidding
wars are common.

The tech market there isn't very strong either.  Since the population
is so small, I would see linux jobs advertised a couple times a year.
Sure some of them pay well, but they don't open up often.
