there is no "k3bsetup". If I do: k3b --help, this is what I get:
Usage: k3b [Qt-options] [KDE-options] [URL(s)]

A CD and DVD burning application

Generic options:
  --help Show help about options
  --help-qt Show Qt specific options
  --help-kde Show KDE specific options
  --help-all Show all options
  --author Show author information
  -v, --version Show version information
  --license Show license information
  -- End of options

Arguments:
  URL(s) file(s) to open

Options:
--datacd Create a new data CD project and add all
given files
--audiocd Create a new audio CD project and add all
given files
--videocd Create a new video CD project and add all
given files
--mixedcd Create a new mixed mode CD project and add
all given files
--emovixcd Create a new eMovix CD project and add all
given files
--datadvd Create a new data DVD project and add all
given files
--emovixdvd Create a new eMovix DVD project and add all
given files
--videodvd Create a new Video DVD project and add all
given files
--burn Open the project burn dialog for the current
project
--copycd <device> Open the CD copy dialog, optionally specify
the source device
--copydvd <device> Open the DVD copy dialog
  --cdimage <url> Write a CD image to a CD-R(W)
--dvdimage <url> Write a DVD ISO9660 image to a DVD
--image <url> Write a CD or DVD image to a CD-R(W) or DVD
depending on the size
  --erasecd <device> Erase a CDRW
  --formatdvd <device> Format a DVD-RW or DVD+RW
--cddarip <device> Extract Audio tracks digitally (+encoding)
--videodvdrip <device> Rip Video DVD Titles (+transcoding)
--videocdrip <device> Rip Video CD Tracks
--lang <language> Set the GUI language
  --nosplash Disable the splash screen
--ao <method> Set the audio output method (like arts or
alsa depending on the installed plugins)

The stuff on the Device tab looks OK. Changing the owner of /dev/scd0
did make it work. However, I doubt that is the "proper" way to do it.
