Hi Alan:

Thanks for your comments re password. The only problem with an
absolutely solid password is that this fuzzy old brain will never
remember it. I'd be prepared to risk a hack attack for the simple reason
that there is nothing precious stored on my computer; and what there is
I need convenient access to! Actually I reinstalled Thunderbird and
voila;there was the mistake, two user-names in the same file. Changed
that, and we were up and running again.

Incidentally, now, Evolution is back, as mysteriously as it departed,
the other day. Do we really have the "undead" on Ubuntu Linux?
