[Discuss] fedora /Linux installation confusion

To anyone that can help.
I have installed a Fedora on my laptop to act as server for a games
demonstration.
The individual from whom I purchased the Backgammon programme now on a C/D
informs me that in order for him to install this programme remotely I need
an SSH CLIENT.and I have no idea what this is.
Can anyone help me with either the SSHCLIENT  question or even an actual
installation of this backgammon game CD.
There may be somebody who has some games software experience which would be
of tremendous help as I am a complete novice here.
I play expert Backgammon but have very little knowledge of technical
expertise.
I will surely appreciate any assistance or alternatively I can attend the
next meeting and bring my laptop and CD with me.
