Why not?  Bridges are designed to join different data link layer
protocols together.  I haven't tried bridging wifi with linux, but I
assume it would work.  Maybe I'll try when I get some time.

Though its geared towards making an access point, but the only
difference would the Master wifi setting, and you could ignore the
additional stuff like hostapd.
