If you try to make it too big, you can change the default parameters (64
mg is default, I think).
There is a really good book I ordered in from Bolens called "Beginning
Gimp" from Apress. Its by Akkana Peck. It has a small section on
panoramas. It covers Gimp 2.4 when it comes out.
Another book I've ordered is "Gimp 2 for Photographers" by Klaus
Goelker, however, I don't think it has been released yet.
