Just a recommendation on that... put / on RAID1. Then the BIOS can boot 
from it without trouble, and you have redundancy. Swap on RAID1 or 
RAID10 isn't a bad idea either.

After the kernel is loaded, with mdraid it doesn't matter what order 
disks are detected in, since they're all going into a big RAID set anyhow.
