Thanks, Chris, for that excellent up-to-date reference, but I think your
characterization of "quite hit or miss" gives an incorrect negative
impression (unless you interpret that to mean some manufacturers are solid
hits and some are misses).  I think a fairer assessment is this reference
seems to give plenty of Linux SATA choices and should give Andrew the
information he needs to avoid manufacturers that don't support Linux very
well.
