You'll have to know what you want.  Even without specifying the linux
support part, its hard enough to get recommendations for a server
which isn't from IBM or Dell.

The best thing to do is tell them what you want, and then double check
the linux support yourself.

I've just spent the last couple week diving into
pci/pcie/pcix/pata/sata/sata2/sas/etc and I know  how frustrating it
can be.
