[Discuss] trying to get quotes on a server.....

Some times I get the feeling that shops/stores/companies don't give a
damn about their customers. I'm trying to get a quote on a server (amd
dule core, raid, gig of mem, 250 gig HD's etc) and every time I
contact one store or another I'm either ignored like a diseased rat or
told that because I want to use linux I need to do my own research on
the hardware. I'm of the opinion that if I came into any one of the
shops I would probably get better service if I said I had ebola or
AIDS. this is quite distressing as I have a short time to replace a
server at my clients place befor it finaly goes byebye of old age.
anyone have any opinions or ideas?
