The article's a bit ill-informed. For instance, my ACX100 card is about 
as supported as cards get -- it works -very- well. I demonstrated -how- 
well last meeting, by sending "messages" to Clarke via changing the SSID 
on my "access point" aka my wifi card in master mode.

There's quite a few wifi drivers out there -- just most people don't 
know about them. Do they need polish? Yup. But we already have a working 
wifi stack, which (for instance) the new acxsm driver is taking 
advantage of.
