Fail? Double check that. Typically, the batteries die, but those are
easily replaced through an electronics store like Queale.
The cheapest solution is to replace the batteries (as long as that is
all that has died).
Next best option, use the APC trade-UPS program. They give you a
discount for a new model.
Lastly, buy a new APC UPS. I commonly see 1000VA models for under $200 now.
I recommend the SmartUPS models as you get far more useful log
information from them than you do a Back-UPS model. Oh and NUT (Network
UPS Tool) works great!
