AlarmPoint Systems is leading the marketplace into a new era of 
enterprise-class, automated event notification, interaction and 
resolution platforms and products.

We are currently seeking several junior Java developers as an addition 
to our team of software engineers in our Victoria, BC office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * design and implement solutions to specified business problems
    * provide timely and accurate estimates and status updates for 
      assigned tasks
    * document changes and new features in a consistent and concise manner
    * work as part of a team and be willing to take on new challenges 
      and expand responsibilities over time

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    * experience developing software for the Java/J2EE platform
    * experience using source code management systems, integrated 
      development environments and other CASE tools
    * knowledge of databases and application servers
    * unit testing and OO design skills
    * written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and multi-tasking 
      skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

    * BSc degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
