Dear all,
I used to copy websites with an excellent programme called *webhttrack* .
I have installed webhttrack in my new amd linux box (debian sarge) . I can do
email and internet from this machine but whenever I fire-up webhttrack it
reports an error
=================================
An error occurred while loading http://debian:8080/:
The file or folder http://debian:8080/ does not exist.
=================================
Note, hostname is "debian" and I can ping it with out any problem. Here is the
contains of */etc/hosts* file
======================================
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost debian
# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts
=======================================
even I have checked *cat /etc/services|grep 8080*
=======================================
webcache 8080/tcp # WWW caching service
=======================================
dose it need any service to run under linux ?
could any one suggest what is going wrong ?
