- A music jukebox written in Python with a curses based GUI. Latest stable release is 3.0.1, 2007-08-14.
- Pymps - Python Music Play System
- A web-based mp3/ogg jukebox written in Python; latest release is 0.12.1, 2002.
- RipperX
- A GTK program to rip CD audio tracks and encode them to the Ogg, MP3, or FLAC formats. Latest stable release is 2.7.0, 2006-04-18.
- Streamripper
- A GPL'd application that records streaming mp3s (shoutcast-compatible streams) to hard drives; latest stable release is 1.61.24, July, 2006.
- Streamtuner
- A radio stream directory browser that automatically downloads listings from various services, such as SHOUTcast, icecast.org. These downloads can be sorted by genre, quality of stream, and what is currently playing. Latest stable release is 0.99.99, 2004-12-21. N.B.: As of 2007-12, there will be no more development on this project in its current form, but the software is quite functional.
